Information About Pakenham Country Kennels

During his stay, your friend will be walked daily and fed as per your instructions. We also recommend that you bring the pet’s own food as it is always preferable to keep your pet on the same diet. All the dishes are provided so you don’t need to bring your own. A favorite blanket, toy and some treats are, most of the time, all your pet need to make his stay more enjoyable.

You need to provide an up to date vaccination certificate (including kennel cough) for each pet. A copy of the certificate will be kept on file for any subsequent visits.

Canine Vaccinations:
Required vaccinations include: Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Rabies, Parvovirus and Bordetella.

Please note: Bordetella (Kennel Cough) immunization is not routinely given unless you request it. You must request this from your veterinarian. Check with your veterinarian as different vaccines may require less or more time for the inoculation to become effective.

Feline Vaccinations:
Required annual vaccinations include: Panleukopenia, Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and Rabies.

We also recommend that you visit our kennel (or any other kennel) before you make your reservation. After all, you don’t need to take our word for it when you can see it with your own eyes! Price
Our rates are:

• $18 per night for a dog plus HST ($17 plus HST if you provide your own food)
• $10 per night for a cat plus HST ($9 plus HST if you provide your own food)

Discounts for multiple pets and long duration stay are available. Transport for your pet to the airport can be arranged. Please contact us for more information.

No half day charge and no extra cost for administering medication to your pet.
